Osun State Gov, Adeleke, Don Order Review for Aduramigba Road Project After Residents Protest Say Work Wey Dem Do No Make Sense
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State don order make dem review one road project wey dey Aduramigba community for Ido-Osun, after people for the area protest say the contractor do wack work.
Di people for Aduramigba carry peaceful protest come out, say di 4.76km road wey pass through their area no get correct drainage and di quality no good at all.
During di protest, dem carry placards wey read:
- “We say no to no drainage and stone base road”
- “Don’t cause quick pain for six communities”
- “We kick against corruption on this project”
Sunday Ogundele, wey be chairman of di community, talk say the contractor no do the road well and dem no even put proper drainage.
He talk say, “Dem start to tar the road on Sunday and Monday, but small rain wey fall on Thursday don wash away some parts of the road already. That one no be better work at all.”
Governor Adeleke hear about the matter and send officials from Ministry of Works, Ministry of Rural Development, and the O-RAMP Project go the area make dem see am for ground.
Olawale Rasheed, wey be spokesperson to the Governor, talk say the governor don give direct order make dem review the road work sharp sharp and make sure say dem follow best practices.
He talk say, “The team go check the road, meet with the people for the community, and tell dem wetin Governor Adeleke talk.”
He also add say:
- Dem go do correction for the road work.
- Di Governor go also look into other wahala wey the community dey face.
- Dem go talk with the contractor and project managers to know how everything take happen.
- By Monday, dem go report back to the Governor so that better decision fit follow.
