As e dey yarn for Arise Television’s The Morning Show on Wednesday, May 21, Lawal talk say di technical committee of di coalition dey reason whether dem go register new party or dem go carry one wey dey ground already and do am better.
Lawal confirm say former Vice President Atiku Abubakar dey inside di group wey dey lead di coalition. Dis coalition wan face President Bola Tinubu and APC (All Progressives Congress) for di next election. E talk say na politicians wey get like mind full di group and dem don gree to work together against di ruling party.
When dem ask am why dem no consider PDP as di base for di coalition, even though Atiku dey involved, Lawal no hide him mouth. E talk say: “For all di meetings wey I don attend, nobody even think make we use PDP. All of us agree say PDP get incurable virus. No medicine fit cure wetin dey worry PDP and we no wan enter house wey we no fit change or renovate.”
Lawal still talk say di group sabi say Nigerians dey watch dem and wan know which political platform dem go carry. E assure say very soon, dem go announce wetin dem plan well-well. From wetin e talk, e be like say Atiku fit commot from PDP, as di party still dey fight among demself since dem lose for 2023 presidential election.
PDP still dey face leadership wahala, especially on top who go be National Secretary — between Sunday Ude-Okoye and Samuel Anyanwu. Even though dem don try settle di matter, katakata still dey inside di party, wey dey make people no too get hope for am as better opposition party.
