NBC Today show co-host Sheinelle Jones dey mourn her husband, Uche Ojeh, wey don die at age 45 after e fight strong battle with glioblastoma — one serious and wicked type of brain cancer.
Dem announce the sad news for Friday morning show, Today, as her colleague Savannah Guthrie talk am with heavy heart.
“Sheinelle and her three pikin dey go through serious pain,” Savannah talk. “Uche na correct person. We all love am… na Sheinelle perfect partner for life.”
Uche no be just husband and papa wey people love — he be big man for consulting work. He work for UAO Consulting for over ten years. Sheinelle and Uche love story start from her university days for Northwestern University. She be fresher wey dey do campus tour, and Uche come visit as one high school senior. That their first meeting turn to love wey last almost 20 years. Dem marry for 2007 and born three children.
Uche death na heavy loss for Sheinelle, wey don take leave from Today show since December. For January, she announce say she dey step away because of private family health matter, wey now everybody know say na her husband sickness cause am.
