One 36-year-old Nigerian man, Stanley Afaku, don get 10 years prison sentence for armed robbery wey happen for Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital for Sekondi, Ghana.

Na Sekondi Circuit Court wey Her Honour Naa Amberley Akowuah dey preside over give di judgment, after Afaku plead guilty to di robbery charge.

Apart from di prison sentence, di court still order say Ghana Immigration Service go deport Afaku after he serve him jail term finish.

Afaku partner, Samuel Nickson wey people sabi as Egya Acquah, deny say he join for di robbery. Court don remand am for police hand. Nickson dey face another robbery case already, and he go appear for court again on June 24, 2025.

According to press statement from Superintendent Olivia Awurabena Adiku, wey be Head of Public Affairs Unit for Western Region, di robbery happen on February 23, 2025. Na that day Afaku and Nickson attack one hospital security guard, Nash Arthur, with gun.

Dem tie di guard with him own shirt, collect him phone, then go enter di hospital Out-Patient Department (OPD) pharmacy, where dem carry one flat-screen TV run.

Dem arrest Afaku on June 4, 2025, for Esiama Bafana ghetto after dem gather correct info.

Afaku confess say na true, and he talk say na Nickson join am do di robbery.
