Secretary to di Government of di Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, don talk say no human being or group fit ever wipe out any tribe from this world.
Akume yarn dis one on Tuesday, June 17, for Makurdi during di official sharing of relief materials wey Federal Government bring give victims of recent violent attacks for Yelewata, Guma Local Government Area for Benue State. Di event happen for emergency camp wey dey house people wey survive di attack.
Akume still waka go see di place wey di attack happen and visit hospital wey some injured people dey take treatment. He condemn di violence, say di attack be like something wey resemble ethnic cleansing. “Attack wey wear cloth like ethnic cleansing no get sense and we no go accept am,” he talk.
He come give assurance say all tribes strong pass extermination. “Nobody fit wipe out one whole tribe for this earth. God Almighty no go allow am,” Akume talk.
As he dey refer to history, Akume mention wetin happen to Jews for Germany (Holocaust), where over six million people die. “But today, Jews don multiply pass dat number,” he add, to show say to try kill whole tribe no just wicked, but e no dey work.
He beg Benue people, especially Yelewata residents, make dem still hold peace, even though dem don suffer and pain too much. “I beg una, make una still follow peace road,” he talk.
Akume still repeat say President Bola Tinubu dey fully committed to unity and security for Nigeria. “President Tinubu dey serious to keep Nigeria together and protect all citizens. He no go rest until every Nigerian fit sleep with two eyes closed,” Akume assure.
Di SGF still send condolence to families wey lose loved ones, and encourage dem to keep hope alive and trust government plans.
Former Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbe, wey still talk for di event, lament say compassion don almost die for Nigeria. “Even for time of war, dem dey spare women and children,” he talk. He vex say attackers even harm small pikin for Yelewata.
Ogbe talk say di victims na some of di most hardworking and committed Nigerians. “Na dem dey produce plenty of our food. No society fit survive this kain killing,” he warn. He remind people say Benue people fight well-well during civil war to keep Nigeria one.
Senator Jacob Gyado still talk for di event. He beg di people make dem no lose faith for President Tinubu government and di promises wey Federal Government don make.
Before all dis speech, Akume don first go Yelewata, where he meet community leaders and check di level of destruction wey di attack cause.
