Two men don land for court sake of say them don burn palm fruit farm and spoil the cassava wey worth 2.4milion

Two men dem carry go court for Friday, May 23, for Okitipupa Chief Magistrates’ Court wey dey Ondo State, sake of say dem allegedly burn palm fruit farm and spoil cassava stems wey worth N2.4 million.

Police charge Sunday Omopelumi, 45 years old wey be farmer, and Iseoluwa Adegbehindo, 30 years old wey be aluminium fabricator, for felony, arson and wicked damage.

Police Prosecutor, ASP Zedekiah Orogbemi, talk say the two men on April 13 around 3pm for Ladan farm for Ode-Aye, Okitipupa area, plan together to commit crime.

Orogbemi still talk say dem waka enter farmland wey belong to one Pius Apalara after dem get wahala with am, come burn him palm fruit farm wey worth N1.4 million. E still talk say dem spoil young cassava stems wey worth N800,000.

Dem say the offence na big crime under Sections 516, 445(a) and 451 of Ondo State Criminal Code Law of 2006.

But the two men deny the charge.

Chief Magistrate, Mr Olanrewaju Àdelegan, grant dem bail of N200,000 each plus one person wey go stand for each of dem.

The surety must dey live inside the court area and show tax payment for two years to the state government.
