The Katsina State Police Command don arrest one 23-year-old housewife wey her name na Rabi’a Labaran, for st@bbing her co-wife to d3ath for Daura Local Government Area of the state.
According to wetin the police spokesperson, DSP Abubakar Sadiq, talk for statement wey e release on Sunday, May 25, the matter happen for back of Dadi Primary School, Sabon Gari area for Daura town, when fight between the two wives turn serious wey later lead to k!lling.
“On May 24, 2025, around 11pm, one man wey him name na Nasir Yusuf – the husband – carry report come Sabon Gari Police Station say as he return from market come house, he see him first wife, Zainab Lawal, 30 years old, for ground dey bleed from multiple knife st@b wounds,” the statement talk.
“As police hear the matter, the DPO and him team rush go the scene, carry the woman go Federal Medical Centre, Daura, but doctor later pronounce her d3ad.
“During investigation, dem arrest the second wife, Rabi’a Labaran, 23 years old, and she confess say na she do am. She talk say na quarrel between her and the woman lead to the fight and the sad incident. Investigation still dey go on.”
The Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, come beg people make dem stop domestic violence and make dem no dey take law into their own hands. E say make people follow legal way to settle quarrel, as jungle justice dey cause more wahala and spoil law and order.
