One female farmer, Mrs Rabiat Atere, don die after suspected herdsmen brutally attack and k!ll her for her farm inside Oka-Akoko, Akoko South-West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The woman, wey come from Uba in Oka-Akoko, reportedly dey work for her farmland on Monday, June 23, when the attackers come ambush her and take her life.
Later, people discover her lifeless body and carry am go morgue for Iwaro-Oka.

“Na true say the thing happen. After dem see her body, dem carry am go mortuary for Iwaro,” the source talk.
The incident don cause serious anger and fear for the community, especially among the youths under the Akoko Youth Forum (AYF), wey sharply condemn the attack.
Ibukun-Oluwa Akeju, the National President of AYF, talk say:
“Akoko Youth Forum strongly condemn the wicked and painful k!lling of Mrs Rabiat Atere, a peaceful farmer and indigene of Ajo Quarter in Uba Oka Community. Dem attack and m8rder her while she dey work for her farm.”
He talk say the act, wey dem suspect say Fulani herdsmen do, na direct threat to peace and safety of their people, and dem no go tolerate am again.
Akeju also vex say no security don show face for the area since the incident happen, even after police evacuate the body.
“E pain us say since dem carry her body, no single security presence don dey. Our people now dey live in fear, and nobody dey protect or assure them,” he talk.
The Akoko Youth Forum come call on security agencies, traditional rulers, and other important people to make sure the killers are caught and punished, and peace return to the area.
“Serious action gats happen so this kind thing no repeat again. AYF no go fold hand watch as our people dey live in fear and bloodshed. We dey demand quick response, justice for the victim, and better security from government,” the group add.
