United States President Donald Trump has stirred widespread reactions after sharing a side-by-side image comparing a youthful photo of himself with a teenage photograph of former President Barack Obama.
The image, posted on Trump’s Truth Social platform, featured a photograph of Trump in his military academy uniform—captioned “D. Trump, 20″—next to an image of an 18-year-old Obama wearing a hat and smoking a cigarette during his college years.
However, social media users quickly pointed out that the Trump photograph appears to be his 1964 graduation portrait from the New York Military Academy, when he was about 17 years old rather than 20. The Obama image was taken during his time at Occidental College and has circulated publicly for years.
The post generated thousands of reactions online, with supporters praising Trump’s military school appearance, while critics mocked the comparison and questioned why he chose to contrast himself with Obama. Some users also referenced recent remarks by Obama, who jokingly suggested that he occupies “a suite” in Trump’s head after being asked about the president’s frequent references to him.
The comparison is the latest in a series of social media posts by Trump that have reignited discussions about his long-running political rivalry with Obama and fueled debate across online platforms.
