Tragic don happen as lifes don loss when include cow and person when dey watch am….

One herder and more than 100 cows don reportedly die for series of attacks wey happen to herders for two villages for Jos South and Jos North local government areas for Plateau State.

Dem talk say na gunmen do the attack, as dem open fire on the herders wey dey graze their cows.

Ibrahim Yusuf Babayo, wey be the State Secretary of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), confirm the matter and accuse some people wey be Berom tribe from the affected areas say na dem do the attacks, na wetin DailyTrust report.

But the leaders of Berom Youth Movement don deny the allegation, say na lie and propaganda.

The first attack happen for Tuesday evening, May 13, for Gero community inside Jos South LGA. The second one happen early morning Wednesday, May 14, for Darwat community inside Riyom LGA.

Babayo talk say for the Gero attack, three herders wound. One dey hospital for Jos, the other two dey receive treatment for Military Hospital inside Rukuba Barracks.

He say: “On May 13, 2025, Berom youths from Gero, Ngel District for Jos South, come together and attack cow rearers. Dem kill like 70 cows. Dem even cut some of the cows and carry the meat go. Na Operation Safe Haven soldiers come intervene and arrest three people wey dem catch with cow meat.”

He still add: “On May 14, 2025, Berom youths for Darwat come with full force begin shoot cows wey belong to our members. Dem kill more than 40 cows, cut some, and carry meat run. Nobody provoke them — na just like that dem begin fire the animals. E be like say na planned attack. We no dey safe again. I don tell the GOC 3 Division and the State Director of Security.”

Babayo still talk say these attacks don turn to regular wahala. “For the past two weeks, similar attacks don happen, wey herders and their cows dey suffer. People don die, cows dey miss. On Monday alone, one herder miss and 41 cows disappear for Bisichi,” he add.

“We dey face killing everyday, e be like say dem wan provoke us. We dey beg government and international community make dem notice wetin dey happen to us for Plateau State. As law-abiding people, we dey tell our members make dem calm down. We dey beg security people make dem stop these killings and protect Fulani herders from more attacks,” Babayo talk.
