Di chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ward 5 inside Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State, Nelson Adepoyigi, wey dem kidnap some days ago, don kpai as im kidnappers don kill am.
According to wetin LIB report, Adepoyigi bin dey for him house wey dey Ifon-Owo road for Ifon (wey be di headquarters of di local government) on Monday when some armed men come kidnap am.
Di kidnappers first ask for N100 million ransom before dem go release am, but afta plenty negotiation, dem reduce am to N5 million.
Di mata come take new turn when di kidnappers hold two men wey carry di ransom go meet dem, come still dey demand another N30 million to release di three people.
Di Ose Local Government Chairman, Clement Ojo, wey confirm di tori for statement on Sunday, talk say di kidnappers shoot di APC oga die on Friday, but dem release di two other people.
“Even though we dey thank God say di two volunteers don regain their freedom, e pain us well-well say dem still kill Mr. Nelson Adepoyigi like that,” Ojo talk.
“Everybody for Ose Local Government dey mourn this heavy loss. We dey send our heartfelt condolences give him family, friends, and political people wey dey close to am.”
Di council chairman still describe di late Adepoyigi as person wey really dey committed to APC progress, and say grassroots people go always remember and honour am.
Ojo come still complain about di wahala of insecurity for di area.
“We don reach serious level now, wey insecurity don turn big threat to di safety and freedom of our people.
“Just few days before this one happen, another person almost get kidnapped as e dey park him motorcycle. Di way dem dey carry people anyhow—even for front of their house—show say dis insecurity don reach dangerous and unacceptable stage.”
