One 23-year-old woman wey dem dey call Abigail Victor, appear for court on Wednesday as Nigeria Police carry her go Kaduna Magistrate Court. Dem say she stab her boyfriend during quarrel wey happen for house because of cheating matter.
Abigail wey dey stay for Ungwan Sunday, for Kaduna State, dey face two charges — one na say she join hand plan the thing (conspiracy), and the other one na say she cause injury (bodily harm). Na Police carry the matter go court.
The Prosecutor, Inspector Chidi Leo, tell the court say the matter happen on May 17, 2025, for Sabon Tasha, Kaduna.
He talk say Abigail and her boyfriend, Dominic James, get wahala because she accuse am say he dey cheat.
“Out of vex, she call two of her friends, dem go the guy house together, beat am, and dem stab am for shoulder with knife,” na wetin Leo yarn.
The prosecutor still talk say na neighbours rush Dominic go hospital after the attack.
According to am, the offence wey dem accuse Abigail of dey against Section 58 and 284 of the Kaduna State Penal Code Law, 2017.
Section 58 fit carry one year for prison if person guilty for conspiracy, and Section 284 na minimum of five years for injury matter.
But Abigail talk say she no do am — she plead not guilty.
Magistrate Ibrahim Emmanuel come grant her bail — N200,000 plus one surety wey go bring the same amount.
The surety must be person wey relate to Abigail by blood and must show tax clearance for three years from Kaduna State Government.
Magistrate Emmanuel come adjourn the case go June 17, 2025, for hearing.
