As e dey talk for one recent interview for SiriusXM show wey dem call Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, Renner look back on the accident wey nearly send am go meet baba God and make am do many surgeries.
He talk say, “Na serious relief, na wetin I fit talk be dat. E sweet me say I comot from my body.”
As e dey describe the experience, Renner yarn say:
“Na the most sweet and peaceful feeling wey person fit ever feel. You no dey see anything, na only wetin dey your mind you go dey see. You go just be like the atom wey form you. Your DNA. Your spirit… Na the highest adrenaline rush be that. But the peace wey join body, na pure magic. E too sweet. I no even wan come back. I remember say dem bring me back and I vex well well.”
Renner talk say e feel like say e don die for some minutes — even though e no too care how long e take — and he remember the moment wey e return:
“I come back and na so I see eyeball again. I say, ‘Ah, wahala don come.’ I see my leg. I say, ‘This one go pain later.’ I just say make I dey breathe.”
Renner come talk say the name of him memoir, My Next Breath, na because of the 45 minutes wey e spend dey focus on every breath as e dey wait for emergency people.
The actor talk say this whole experience don change how e dey reason life.
“I go live my life the way I wan live am. No be for anybody. I go put my energy for love and people wey dey show me love too — because na only that one you go carry go when you waka.”
