Trump yarn dis one for him Truth Social platform on Friday, and immediately, Apple stock fall 3.5 percent for future trading, but later e rise small by 2.8 percent when market open.
Trump dey vex say Apple dey move their iPhone production go India. He say, “I don already tell Tim Cook wey be Apple CEO say I wan make all the iPhones wey dem dey sell for America, make dem dey built inside America, no be India or any other place,” Trump write. “If dem no do am like that, Apple go pay at least 25% tariff to America.”
This talk cause wahala for investors and people wey dey follow tech mata, many talk say the thing no realistic at all. One analyst from Wedbush Securities, Dan Ives, talk say to move iPhone production come America fit take 5 to 10 years, and iPhone fit cost like $3,500. He call the idea “fairy tale.”
Another analyst, Barton Crockett from Rosenblatt Securities, still talk the same thing for CNBC Squawk Box, say wetin Trump dey ask for no possible.
Trump wahala with Apple no new, e still link to him long-time beef with China. Na that one make Apple wan scatter their production across different countries. Apple CEO, Tim Cook, don talk before say dem dey expand their production for India. But Trump no happy with am. Last week for Qatar, he say, “I get small wahala with Tim Cook… I tell am, ‘Tim, you be my guy. I treat you well.
