One 28-year-old woman for Wisconsin don enter police hand after her 13-month-old pikin drown inside bathtub wey she allegedly leave am alone. Di woman, Selena Doxzon, get charge for neglect wey cause pikin death, according to wetin court papers talk.
As per one criminal complaint wey Law&Crime carry, di mata happen on May 15, 2025. One woman tell police say she hear her neighbour – later wey dem know say na Doxzon – dey shout from downstairs. When di woman waka go check, she see Doxzon carry her pikin wey body don dey lifeless and skin don turn blue.
Doxzon dey on phone with emergency line (911) but she too dey cry, she no fit talk well. Paramedics rush come di house for 5000 block of 53rd Street, Milwaukee. Dem collect di pikin from di mama, try revive am, then rush am go Children’s Wisconsin. Doctors try save di boy but he later die around 9:45 a.m.
Doxzon tell police say di two boys – di 1-year-old (wey die) and im 3-year-old brother – wake around 5:30 to 6:00 a.m. She give dem food, then run b@th. She talk say di water reach small pass di small pikin belle when e siddon. After she bath dem, she leave dem for tub make dem play while she go kitchen go cook pancake and sausage.
She talk say she dey wash plate after she finish cook. She spend like four minutes for kitchen when her 3-year-old son waka enter kitchen, wet from head to toe. She rush go bathroom, go bring towel. As she enter, she see di baby float for water, face up, no dey breathe. Water reach near im face. She quickly carry am comot, dey shout for help. She try press im back, nothing. Im lips don blue. She put am for floor, try CPR. As she dey press im chest, water comot from im mouth.
Autopsy later show say di baby die from drowning. Doxzon tell police say she normally dey bath dem one by one and she just start dey use bathtub for di small one instead of sink. Di baby no sabi waka by himself, but he fit stand and hold things take waka small small. For another interview after police read her rights, Doxzon gree say she suppose no put plenty water for di tub. She also confirm say she no fit see bathroom from where she dey cook.
Judge don set her bail at $10,000. She go enter court again for May 30 for another hearing.
