The Principal Special Assistant to the Benue State Governor on Youth and Media Mobilization, Hon. Atu Terver Joseph, don suspend him Chief of Staff, Mr. John Ukeyima, and Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Lubem Terkula, say dem follow youths protest against killings for the state.
On Sunday, June 15, angry Benue youths waka enter street to protest the continuous killings, especially after about 200 people reportedly die between Friday, June 13, and Saturday, June 14, for Yelwata community inside Guma LGA, after armed men attack the area.
But after the protest, Terver send suspension letters to the two officials wey show face for the march.
For the letter dated Sunday night, June 15, Terver accuse the two of "undermining" government position by joining the protest.
“This letter na to inform you say you don get immediate and indefinite suspension from your position as Chief of Staff and Chief Press Secretary, from June 14, 2025,” the letter talk.
“Your action go against wetin your Principal clearly instruct, and na serious breach of trust and duty. From now, you no go do any official duty or represent this office in any way.”
