A Florida woman has been sentenced to four years in prison after being found guilty in connection with the death of an OnlyFans model and social media personality who was widely known for her resemblance to reality television star Kim Kardashian.
The woman, identified as Vivian Alexandra Gomez, was convicted of felony involuntary manslaughter and practicing medicine without a license following the death of 34-year-old Christina Ashten Gourkani, an online model who gained popularity because of her striking resemblance to Kim Kardashian.
Fatal Procedure in Hotel Room
According to prosecutors, Gomez traveled from Florida to California in April 2023 to perform illegal silicone buttock injections on Gourkani inside a hotel room in Burlingame, near San Francisco International Airport. Shortly after receiving the injections, Gourkani became seriously ill and was rushed to the hospital. She died the following day.
Medical investigations later revealed that silicone had entered Gourkani’s bloodstream. Authorities said she died from respiratory failure and complications linked to a pulmonary embolism.
Court Rejects Probation
Following a jury trial earlier this year, Gomez was found guilty and later sentenced to four years in state prison. During sentencing, the judge denied probation, ruling that Gomez played a direct role in the victim’s death. Family members of Gourkani reportedly delivered emotional impact statements before the sentence was handed down.
Reports indicate that Gomez chose not to appeal the conviction and will remain in custody. A separate restitution hearing is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
